If you break down yoga into Yin & Yang, ‘yang yoga’ works and stretches the muscles, while ‘yin yoga’ stretches the connective tissue (i.e., the ligaments and tendons that connect the muscles to joints and the skeletal structure).  While a yang practice is essential, the same is true for a yin practice.  Athletes don’t retire because of muscle issues, they retire because of joint issues (knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, etc).  The same is true as we age; our movements become more and more restrictive if we don’t stretch the connective tissue surrounding the joints.  In this workshop, we’ll use the Yoga Wall to go deeper into yin poses to stretch the connective tissue. This workshop is open to all level yoga students.
